About

Kyle Salcedo

Born 1993. In the city where his parents immigrated to and lived in.

Graduates in Kinesiology with a focus on Exercise Science. His interests in medical technology, biomechanics, and anatomy art are matched by few, but still need to be challenged by anyone willing to create with him.

Currently in a Doctorate of Physical Therapy program, and looks to work in the orthopedic setting while contributing to the prosthetic world through technology and material science.

Before this, Kyle Salcedo interned in marketing, product research, and UX for an app you probably use and strive to influence with. He also assisted with the planning, organizing, and developing of aquaponics systems for more energy efficient technology.

He is an activist for Physical Therapy, protecting your data as an individual, the laws behind our rights as human beings, ADHD, supporting local artists, climate change solutions, the oxford comma, and corgis.

Kyle Salcedo creates with the purpose of communicating to all of his areas of influence. Whether it is using his camera, his computer, or his canvas, it is from his growing mind to yours.

Whether it is photography, design, music production, programming, writing, or research, he wants to grow with you and learn from you.

Volunteered with Hippotherapy and Therapeutic Horse Riding in 2013, and built interest in the different ways to rehabilitate the human body.

Also in 2013, with this interest, he started volunteering in outpatient orthopedics for physical therapy.

Interned at a Biomechanics Lab, working on movement analysis using motion capture systems, starting in late 2013.

Assisted with adaptive aquatic physical activity and general adaptive physical activity in 2015.

March 2015, started attending prosthetics continuing education classes for applying functional training during amputee rehabilitation, and built an interest in prosthetics and prosthetic technology.

Worked with research involving impedance cardiography for ECG activity in choreograph dancers in 2016.

In 2016, he started working in inpatient acute rehabilitation and other settings such as neuro, cardiac intensive care, ortho, medical surgery, oncology, pulmonary telemetry, surgical telemetry, and intensive care.

Volunteered with Special Olympics Southern California in 2018 as a Student Physical Therapist and social media assistant.

In this age where anyone can use technology to become a renaissance artist, he is trying his best to take advantage of when he was placed here to find out why he was placed here. It may be to make you proud to know [him], or it may be to bring out the [best/worst] in you.

He hopes to one day give back in all the ways he’s thankful for. He hopes to one day make every photo he takes a scholarship, every infograph he makes a lecture, and every song he makes a vacation.

Kyle thanks you for [coming along] for the journey.

The most important message Kyle Salcedo wants to communicate is his goal to pique the world’s:

LOVE, UNITY, AND CURIOSITY IN EXPRESSION.

He is constantly driven by his excitement for learning new perspectives and the restoration of health. He is comfortable with experimentation and vulnerability in his work. Equally important is his constant quest to collaborate more than one medium. He is unsatisfied, and he hopes this excites you in return.
